Wholesale Clothing Liquidation Pallets

Generally, clothing liquidation refers to selling a company’s apparel inventory in pallet loads or truckloads, often at a deep discount, to generate cash.

Large department stores sell out-of-season, surplus (overstock), and shelf-pull apparel in boxes on pallets to liquidators such as Orotex, often in bulk truckload quantities through contractual agreements. Liquidators purchase the excess inventory and resell it to discount stores, wholesalers, and other business buyers.

Mixed women’s apparel lots may include garments for different seasons, from formal and dress apparel to casual categories. Plus-size pallets can include dresses, denim, sportswear, casual wear, and more.

Swimwear pallets may include styles and colors for men, women, and children. Some lots come from U.S. department stores, while other name-brand deals are purchased directly from manufacturers.

Accessory pallets may include stockings, socks, briefs, and other undergarments for men, women, and children. Spring-summer mixes can include T-shirts, polo shirts, tank tops, and shorts. Fall-winter pallets may contain sweaters, jackets, jeans, long coats, cardigans, fleece jackets, and related garments.

Many Orotex apparel lots consist of new shelf pulls or overstock with original tags, but not every deal has the same condition. Some lots may include closeouts or customer returns. The applicable inventory condition is listed or explained for each offer.

It depends on the store or deal from which the merchandise was purchased. Sometimes department-store merchandise arrives with a manifest, and sometimes it does not. For apparel closeout pallets that do not have a manifest, we do not create one; we categorize and mix the merchandise by gender and season. When we acquire manifested lots, we offer them with the available manifest.

We do not cherry-pick merchandise for our own retail stores because Orotex does not operate retail stores. Our mixed clothing liquidation pallets and truckloads are assorted with the available brands, styles, colors, and sizes from each shipment.

Surplus (Overstock): When stores prepare for new inventory, they clear older garments to make room. These garments are generally new and have not been worn.

Out of Season: Major retail chains may wholesale surplus stock through clearance companies at the end of a season. This inventory may later be sold by stores in the United States, Latin America, Africa, and other markets.

Customer Returns: These are garments previously returned to a store for different reasons. Customer returns are generally usable, although some pieces may have stains, damage, missing parts, or other irregularities. The applicable condition should be confirmed for each lot.

The physical dimensions of a standard apparel pallet using a 40 × 40 × 48-inch Gaylord box are approximately 40 inches wide, 40 inches long, and 48 inches high. This represents the physical space occupied by the pallet. The amount of merchandise it holds varies based on the type of garments, how they are folded, and the packing method.

As an estimate, a standard 40 × 40 × 48-inch Gaylord pallet may hold approximately 1,500 pieces of children’s clothing, 1,500 pieces of women’s clothing, or 1,000 pieces of men’s spring-summer clothing. Fall-winter quantities can be lower because those garments are bulkier. These are approximations; actual quantities vary based on the items and packing method. The number of pallets depends on the truck or shipping-container size. With double stacking, up to approximately 40 clothing pallets may fit in a standard 40-foot container. A 20-foot container may hold around 20 double-stacked pallets. These are general estimates, and actual capacity varies according to pallet dimensions, container specifications, weight, and packing method.
