Wholesale Sporting Goods

Many of our liquidation offerings come from national or international major retailers that liquidate inventory at a near loss to free up space for new merchandise. This often happens when the company determines that it is no longer cost-effective to continue storing these products or that continuing to sell them will take away valuable space for better-selling products.

In other cases, we get our liquidated products from companies going out of business. We must sell the remainder of their inventory to satisfy their creditors and pay down existing debts. This means that we end up with our products in various ways, and they may be resold in various conditions.

Customer Returns

Customer returns are fairly standard in liquidated product auctions. There are two sources of these returns, and both have varying qualities of the associated products. In-store returns tend to have a higher rate of defective products because the original buyer may have sampled or used the product before returning it. Online returns generally have a better rate of intact and saleable products, as online shoppers often return items that don’t meet their expectations.

Shelf Stock and Store Pulls

Shelf stock and store pull liquidations are great opportunities to get high-quality products in new or like-new condition. These products are removed from display or backstock to make room for new merchandise. Off-season seasonal goods discontinued sporting goods, and items with retail price tags or security tags attached are common in these lots.

Overstock

Overstock liquidation occurs when a company determines they have too many of a particular product and decides it is more cost-effective to sell them at a low price rather than continue to take up valuable storage space. Overstock products are generally in excellent condition and ready to be resold with little to no requirement for repair.

Closeouts

Closeout liquidations happen when a company goes out of business, closes a retail location, or discontinues a product line. These auctions offer a wide variety of items in a single lot, providing a great opportunity to offer your customers additional merchandise selections.

Reconditioned or Repaired Merchandise

Some auctions may consist of either reconditioned or refurbished merchandise, restored to an acceptable quality, but cannot be sold or marketed as “new.” Selling refurbished goods is a great way to give customers access to in-demand products at competitive prices.

As you can imagine, by the different sources of our products listed above, they are auctioned for a wide range of qualities and conditions. New or like-new items are in the original packaging with little to no signs of use, often coming from overstock, shelf stock, store pulls, and closeouts. Used products, mainly from customer returns, may require extra work to maximize profit margins. Refurbished items may not come with original packaging and may have evidence of repairs. Salvage-quality products are essentially non-usable in their current condition and will require refurbishment.
